Born out of frustration at the lack of high quality fried chicken options in London, Coqfighter began as a night for friends at our apartment in South London.

Having spent the beginning of the decade living in Melbourne, we’d enjoyed many a hot summer night eating plates of Korean fried chicken and drinking ice cold beers in the city’s bustling Chinatown district.

Nights for friends soon became pop-ups in pubs and after a series of successful residencies we eventually found our first permanent home with Boxpark. A short DIY build later and Coqfighter was open to the public with queues to boot.

In a few short years Coqfighter has grown to three full-service restaurant locations and a series of delivery kitchens all over the UK. We’ve done amazing events like Chelsea Flower Show and even a month long pop-up restaurant in Abu Dhabi.

We’ve collaborated with some of London’s best restaurants like El Pastor, Bone Daddies, Berenjak, Plaza Khao Gaeng, Le Bab, Pizza Pilgrims and Acme Fire Cult. We’ve done takeover events with chef’s like Neil Rankin. We even collaborated on a menu with The Rolling Stones.

It’s been an amazing journey so far and at the heart of it is just three guys and their love for chicken in all its glorious forms. Over the next few years we plan to bring Coqfighter to the whole of the country with new restaurants and delivery kitchens in the pipeline.

We can’t wait to serve you a plate of chicken sometime soon.
